our trip to stardome

Recount Writing with Paragraphs -
Our Stardome Trip

Stardome-Observatory.jpg

We will talk about how we are going to craft this recount together.

Our Moon is Special

There are many moons in the solar system, but none are like Earth’s. Mars has two tiny moons, called Phobos and Deimos. Jupiter has 67 moons, and they’re all different shapes, colours, and sizes. Saturn has 62 moons, and dozens more tiny moonlets amongst its golden rings. But on Earth, we have just one and we simply call it the Moon.

You need to write four paragraphs about your trip to the Stardome. They need to have a
topic sentence,
three details,
and a concluding sentence.

Remember! This is a recount - you need to describe what happened on your trip in order.

What did you do, see, and learn during each part of your trip?

To help you, there are some topic sentences to start off each paragraph.

Start writing here:

Yesterday, all the Year 3s and Year 4s got on a bus to go to the Stardom
When the year 3s and 4s got onto the bus we were playing hane game and do tricks.

At the Stardome, we learned some really cool things about our solar system.
We learned the the sun is a star and planets what they do.

When we weren’t in the Stardome, we were having fun outside.

We were on the pack having fun like on the flying fox the weele swig
And the chot chot tran.

After all this, we headed back to Point England School.

On our why back home we were telling staff to mr moran and mr h and it was fun at stardome.

After you are finished and have proofread, have this checked by Mr Moran, Mrs Moala, or Mr H, and post this to your blog.
